Why Google and Why AdWords

There are many ways to promote and advertise your web site on the Internet. The best way to start is with Google using AdWords.

It has:

The main disadvantage of Google AdWords is that it is not scalable. Once you have found your niche and manage to generate a high percentage of clicks, you cannot "expand" the number of searches people are performing. When you get to this stage, it is all a matter of find other overlapping niches using new keywords.

 

Getting started

 

1. Find a product

The first step is to find a product or service to that has a high demand. It is very important to emphasize that any product can be sold over the Internet. The only question is how much money can you make from of selling (the marginal profit) and what is the market for the product. It is very important that you find a product with high demand and with the largest marginal profit. It should be underlined that we recommend to choosing a product the customers know that they need to pay for and not something that is considered as “free” on the Internet.

 

2. Find a matching keyword

After you have chosen your product, you must find out all the keywords people use to find your product. This is a trial-and-error process that you must continue until you fully understand which keyword people use. You can start with guessing the words and using online services that find the “closest” words that describe the same idea.

Keywords-- the words or phrases that relate to a particular topic -- are used to construct a search statement to find information.

Tip: Check for spelling errors. Many customers misspell their keywords. This is usually caused by a spelling mistake or a typing error. You should target these keywords also. E.g. If you target the word "business,” add "bussness,” "business.” Google only charges you for the clicks themselves and not by the impressions.

 

Tip: In your keywords, for each keyword add the keyword with "" and keyword with "[],” e.g. if you add the term Internet marketing add the following "Internet marketing" and [Internet marketing].
